I wish we could get more serpent drivers over here in the usa like that. I was pissed I was the only one at the nats with a serpent.

I feel for you man. I was fortunate enough to have the TOP guys around. I'm sure we'll be seeing more S411's in the future. Maybe at IIC we'll see a few more Serpent touring cars on the track.

only problem I have with the car is the rear diff is not smooth and th play in the steering. I saw on serpent site it tell you to put .2 shims in but my kit came with the shims or are do you need to add the .2 with them. ass for the diff I saw a post to use grinding past. I am really gitting tired of have to order more and more things. I just want to race my serpent car and have fun. I do this for fun and for a get away, don't seam that way latley

+1 with the sloppiness of the steering rack. Although I do believe that its due to the bearings in it.

Alot of cars have some "slop" in the steering. It's not a big deal, in fact if you remove all of it then it could actually bind and be worse. My steering was tight at first, and now has developed a small amout of play which I will shim out about 2/3 of.

As for the diff, just run it. The gears need to break in. My diff is better now then when it was first built. My car works very well and I am on pace with the top dogs at my track (in my class). The car does not perform poorly just because of the gears not be meshed perfectly. If you want to feel something, try this, grab a tire in each hand and rotate the tires in opposite directions of each other (at the tires) and it's pretty smooth.

Amain and Stormer should have their parts for the 411 very soon. By the end of the week I would imagine.

while I was at the nats my buddy scooby and acouple of other guys let me feel there diff and you could spinn one wheel in the rear and it would just role on. I do know that you need a little play in the steering but I think my is more than normal.
