I'm running on a parking lot track medium grip would rrs work well on pavement? If I buy the rrs kit do I need additional parts to convert my eryx 2.0?

Can't comment on RRS on pavement, but the mount for the RRS uses the back holes of the chassis, so if you're running the 2 screw supported idler assembly, you would have to change to the newer motor mount/idler mount assembly to free up those two back screw holes.

Thanks for the help guys!
The links are very helpful.

Reading about all the different versions and setups tips is starting to make my head spin and falling into a black hole!!!
I guess different driver, different setup....

So, here is my understanding, versions starting from the most basic (oldest) to top of the line (newest)? Are all the parts interchangeable? The most noticeable different are Steering rack, motor mount, lower shock towers, shocks, servo mount, Diff gear....

It can be pronounced two ways. \'eriks, or \'ir-iks

Do you know anybody with the name Eric? Well if you described his car as "Eric's" car, then that is the first way to pronounce Eryx.

With the exception of the 3.0 motor mount, everything else is a direct bolt on change. The 3.0 motor mount on a graphite chassis requires a very small modification to work, but very easy to do.

I don't think I will go with the 3.0 motor mount just because its a costly upgrade.
But am I safe to said using medium suspension pieces (arm, hub block...) will create less flex for the chassis which will put less stress on the separate motor mount on the TE?

Will this create too much flex for a medium traction, large, fast track?

Probably not. Also consider that you have two center leg options for that motor mount, so you can control your flex even more.

Seems like a lot of U.S. Dealers are out of stock on Solid Axle Drive Shaft SER401408, any replacement from other brands?
This part seems to wear out much faster than any other parts in the car.
Also, which brand of blades will last longer than the serpent ones?
Thanks!

Help guys...
I need the front spool axle out drive replacement but it's out of stock everywhere.
Any suggestion of other brands that will fit?
Which blade to use?
Thanks in advance.

The old style with the separate out drives was discontinued ages ago. You need to get the new style axle 401600.

The newer batch serpent blades are a better plastic. I have no issues with the serpent blades and that's in the modified class. Probably get a full day of racing out of a set.

I am having heaps of issues with the new spool and blades. If you punt a board and the blade gets damaged mid run by the time you finish your run the blade is toast and the out drive pin has hammered the so called hardened spool. I've chewed up 3 spools and 30 odd bucks a pop I'd rather the heavier old school version of the spool. Here's hoping we get the new bearing spool cup arrangement like the buggies are getting.

I picked up a v2.0 front axle from absolutehobbyz.com part # SER401380. It looks like they still have them in stock.

I have gone back to old spool. Four wasted alu spools and tons of blades.
