Not yet. For some odd reason people love buying my stuff. I need to build a new car for myself. But I am going to take one to the track next week with Mustafa and test on his car.

I think it can handle the abuse at least for a day

Default Spur and Pinions for S411

Which brands do you suggest?

Needs to be 48DP

Have to make FDR3.5/4.0/4.25/4.5.

Don't mean how many teeth, I mean which brands would fit and are durable?

Yup, Serpent spur gears would be my choice for 48 pitch. I'm pretty much covered on them as I was working on my off-road stuff shortly before ordering spurs and ended up ordering every 48 pitch spur they had. After a bit of measuring and checking I found that the latest CRC spurs for 12th scale fit the car as well so mine is now using an 88 tooth CRC spur. I did have to use 1mm spacers on the screws as the CRC is thinner in that area and also a button head on the rear motor mount because the CRC teeth are a bit wider. Overall everything looks good though and I will be driving it this weekend.

Tim, whats the specs on the top plate on the Sport? It looks like a glass plate, will if fit a regular S411? How thick is it?

Thanks

Any Serpents going to IIC?

I'll take it off and make sure it lines up, but I am 95% it will. What is differerent, is that there is no hole even drilled for the motor mount screw.( to be clear.. the hole in the top deck., but it is not in the mount itself. )

I though people would have picked up on the split blocks in the rear...

I did see those, how are they secured to the chassis? Also are the shock bodies plastic or aluminum? Are they rear dog bones just a different colour or material as well?

Thanks

Hmmm, FRP upper deck and split blocks would be worth testing....

Also, aluminum rear axles for weight savings...... unless Serpent already makes them?!

I had a T3R (FRP upper and lower)...... the material worked pretty well on carpet. I'd be tempted to at least buy the lower deck to try out and have a "template" to drill for using the split blocks on the regular chassis.

When I showed the car to everyone at our local track... they were like...

" Wow, this thing is stiff "

I would hazard to guess that a new chasiss will be along soon with aluminum bocks.
