Ran the serpent at thetestn tune todayatbaysie. Bigthankyou to rob for going over my car and to patto for the setup. The diff in the front of the car was fantastic. The car felt on rails. A coup,e of other settings changes ie droop and wheel base made the car unreal to drive. Hit the 17's for the first time (stock).

Default FDR S411

I got my car last Tuesday and had it ready to run the same day (or should I say night!). I have built several of the top cars around, but I will have to say that the Serpent went together smoother than any of them. I am very impressed with the quality of the kit

In any case, I had to leave for work before I got the chance to test the car.

Since I have the time to think(er) before I get the chance to run the car (apx. two weeks), I wonder if anyone has a decent starting point for the FDR (or roll-out). I use a Tekin RS Pro with Tekin Redline 10.5T. I am using boost.

As of now it's set it up same as my former Xray T3 (FDR: 7.3 and roll-out 27.53mm). I will be running on a medium sized technical indoor carpet track with apx. 110m length. The longest straight is apx. 20m, ending in a long sweeping right turn.

I have also attached a screen-shot from a spreadsheet with the details.

If anyone has the same combination and similar track I would also be interested in their ESC settings.

if you start with the same FDR as your Xray, things should be the same.
when you calculate roll out , does that mean you run Foams ? Cheers.

I will be using rubber (28R Sorex). The roll-out is from when I was running my T3 on foam and this was used as a basis to get the same roll-out for the S411 (with the larger rubber wheels). From there I got the FDR for the S411 (my excel sheet does it automatically with proper input data).

I just wanted to check as there many ways to gear the car depending on how you set up the motor/ESC (depending on motor advance, ESC timing, turbo, boost etc). I feel it is quite OK now but there is alway room for improvement

for me the body has more steering. so it is a bit more taily then say a G35. but that is just what i felt on the track back to back.

Hi,

anyone got a basic asphalt setup for low/medium grip ? tried my 411 for the first time today but used a set up from another driver at my local track but really struggled with rear end grip mostly on power. I haven't tried the kit or basic set up but ran Xray springs 2.8 front and 2.6 rear with 500 oil all round, also tried gear diff with 2 gears and 2000 then 1200 which was a bit better. Then tried 4 gears with 1000. Oh and ran 5mm wheelbase at the rear. Any suggestions ?

Thanks.
