Charlie,
Is there a release date for the new Novak brushless system that will be faster than the existing ones? Thanks.

anyone got any allrounder setup for the gtx runnin mod motors...
#395

Losi, it depends what motor your running really.
for stock in run #2, but for mod on a low grip carpet i run #5 and with a mod on mediumish grip carpet i run #4.
and depends how big/small your track is, if its a really big open/flowing track thengo for a higher number profile..so for stock say #4, and mod #6 or what ever..and on a small and tight and twisty track you would use a profile much lower, so maybe #1 for stock and #3 for mod.
#3 is the factory setting and they say this i what all the factory drivers say work best, its just an alround one really, as it works fine with stocks and works fine with mod motors..but then again its personal perferance to how punchy/smooth you like your motors.

hey I just picked one of these up and was wondering what profile people are running in oval???????
#398

We did a lot of testing trying to home in on a good all around setting for the default profile in the GTX.
A lot of guys who run stock say they prefer profiles 2 and 1... it's all really down to personal preference.
Also, if you are running 4 cell applications you might want to try profiles 2 or 1 to see if you can get a little bit more power out of the system.

I have a few more ????
Just want to make sure I got this right
Drag break is when you let off the gtx applys breaks.
min brake is how strong the breaks will be.
also what is min drive %
and
what is dead band %

Dave,
Concerning drag brake: You are correct, when you release the throttle to the neutral position, the esc will apply a small amount of brake, this brake percentage is selectable.
Minimum brake % is how strong the initial step of braking will be. The default setting in GTX is 20%. If it was set lower than this you probably would not feel it...
Minimum drive % is pretty much the same thing but in forward. Certain other companies use this adjustment as "punch" control... it is simply changing the percent of throttle that is being applied in the very first throttle step. Default setting is 3% The lower this number is, the smoother that initial throttle response will be.
Dead band is the % of thrigger throw that actually results in no throttle or brake being applied. The lower this %, the more sensitive the esc is to trigger input. The default setting is 4%

Man thank you very much the min drive % is what I am looking for a more smoother acceleration from a dead stop. with the lrp it felt like it jumped to a start. I race on asphalt down here and with the lrp you had to be very smooth on the starts. I think with the gtx it will allow me to make cleaner starts.
thanks for the help

hello i am wondering what profile i should use to get specs close to the mod profile on a dually
and im also wondering if that power cap [pic included] comes with the esc

PPM- Profile 6 in the GTX will be closest to the feel of the mod profile in the dually. Incidentally profile 1 will be closest in feel to the stock profile.
And yes, the power capacitor your are inquiring about comes pre-wired into the ESC from the factory!
