Traction Compound on Asphalt
This may be a stupid question, but do you run traction compound on ashpalt. I am running a Type R in VTA this year outside on asphalt and was curious what others do.

So Paragon Ground Effect works well on carpet and also on asphalt?
Does it work on rubber tires?
Do you get sick of it after a day of racing in the outdoor on asphalt?
And in the long run? After years of rc-racing?

We use it indoors/carpet and it is the only stuff anyone uses there. Mainly cause it's the only one the local hobbyshops carry. I personally can not stand the smell as it is very strong. Not to mention if you keep your car in a bag/box the smell lingers for what seems like forever! Our building is very small and I have never experienced the headaches nor has any local racer that I know...

We only ever had one permanent indoor asphalt track in the UK which has now shut down, looking at different setup sheets for it, we used CS High Grip and Sticky Fingers, so carpet additive.
If the asphalt is outdoors it will get dust in it and it will 'weather' over time.
When our track was relayed carpet additive was good for a while, but slowly, carpet additive became less effective.
So we tend to use oil based outdoors, CS Max Grip, Rheinard MR33 etc. If the track regularly runs nitro that can also throw another spanner in the works.
With the exception of newly laid asphalt, we havent; come across any outdoor asphalt track where carpet additive works better.
Skiddins
P.S. On carpet, most tend to use LRP carpet additive or the Nosram equivalent (same stuff) as both have spnge applicator on the end like boot polish stuff.
