the underlying theme for this event is the annual builders cup. for those who dont know, what this is basically a run what ya brung F1 event that has been going on for a few years. The F1 and GP3 class will have teams so there will be a points system in place soon and i will have a special prize(TBA) for the winning team! over the years Tamiya has acknowledged the event and has had representatives as well as HPI, Alpha and MLB. as i gather sponsers they will be posted on this thread as well as the website (which is under construction but functional right now). Here in Texas we are fortunate to have a list of top notch drivers in all classes and i should be able to get a handfull of them to race.
So please bear with us a bit til we get everything in order. Thank you!

Can you run a prototype chassis? Why no F103 from Tamiya with rubber tires? On the other chassis can the Corally F1 run or the old HPI Super F1?

you can run the rubber 103 in GP2 class but not a prototype chassis. prototypes and non commercially available chassis will be in F1 or GP3. The Corally and HPI super f1 are both GP3.

here is the updated rules that are ever changing

The F103 is not the prototype. That chassis(prototype) has not been made yet and not sure if it will.

Where does the HPI Formula 10 and the Corally F1 chassis fit as far as classes are concerned?

Looking at the rules...the HPI Formula 10 could be in GP2 or the F1 class. The corally f1 would be in GP3.

It is not a matter of could be, it is a matter of what is. There needs to be a little more clarity on the chassis rules for each class as to what chassis kit is and is not allowed so that there is absolutely no confusion. What you don't want is for someone to come to the race with a car that is not legal for one class and they don't have the gear to change to the proper class (ie: ESC, tires, motor, etc). Not meaning to be a pain because I have a friend's F103 on loan and want to get the HPI Formula 10. If I get the HPI car, I want to make sure that I set it up for the proper class if I come to this race.
