Default smokin

i stoped my last rum 10 minutes ago short because one of the wires going to my motor started smoking the rubber was all sticky and now after i let the motor cool off super good its not as fast as it used to be?

Ive had that happen to me before. One time the wire burned off of the connection to the motor but my motor wasnt any slower after that.

okay good that made me feel alot better i was hopeing my motor wasent gonna be dead

is everything hardwired or are you using connecters?
also what motor and gearing?

id say its your gearing, because thats the only reason i would think it would get that hot. Your pumping alot into something that will probably spin pretty easy, so its drawing alot of power. one other thing, what kind of battery connecters are you using and what kind of connection do you have to your motor?
