Where do you get this 126 mph? The fastest two that I have ever heard of was Cliff Letts 10L2, which hit over 110 and some dragster that went 112....

unless it has been properly documented it isnt a record...

it is also based on an average,,, i belive when asociated did it it was done two times, and the average was used as the record...

it isnt straight line speed either.. associated did it on a track..

so until it is done properly and documented, associated still has the record.... otherwise it is just hear say

Well, where is the proof?

I find it a bit hard to believe that none of the 4 magazines picked up something like this unless it just happened within the last few weeks.

. I can't stop laughing, why would it matter if it was on a track?

Yes Associated did it on a track.. a 1:1 scale track, Irwindale or something like that. The speed was taken as a straightaway speed I believe, even though the car went around the turns.

"well, we wont be bringing the nitrous car to the comp. we ran it several times at our local drag strip. it took about a 30mph push to get it going. after that it was a land rocket. at its fastest it ran through the 1/8 mile speed trap at 126.3mph." By RS4ss.

Found it....

"well, we wont be bringing the nitrous car to the comp. we ran it several times at our local drag strip. it took about a 30mph push to get it going. after that it was a land rocket. at its fastest it ran through the 1/8 mile speed trap at 126.3mph. and we put a venom speed meter on it and chutes. on the last run the vsm read 142mph and the chutes read a negative. and a wall and sand-trap arent exactally what we had in mind to stop it. it disentigrated into about 10 or so peices. i dont quite think that the world is ready for a compressed nitrogen rc car. and the twin .70 car is fixed, and we are still test running it."

Sounds like BS to me, not hard for someone to make stuff up on the net to look cool.......and even if its not, its hardly official in anyway.

Do you believe everything you read on the message boards?
