I've spun the tires up to 96 mph, and they held up, so I'm not worried about tires.

I'll hook some up to my dremel though.

Also, I got a video of it. But I only ran it about half the distance I normally do. And I need to go up a few teeth on the pinion. I only hit 54 mph. But it was just the test run.

Put it on my dremel and it did fine. On high and low modes.

It's not letting me upload it, so I'll have to shut down my computer and try again. It might be a while.

I know people are asking regarding tires, and response is' I've spun it up to xx mph'

but..... spinning a tire in air, is completely different than tire actually spinning at xx mph on SURFACE. There's that pesky laws of physics thing you heard about. How about friction and heat? You're spinning a tire with NO load on it. Throw the weight of the car on the tires, along with friction caused by the surface on the tires. I'd imagine a tire that small in diameter with that much load on it, spinning at 90mph would casue LOT of heat, which could casuse the foam to give out, or plastic rim from deforming. I bet TC foam tire/rim can hit 150mph spinning in air with out breaking up into pieces.

Good luck with your speed record run, but you seriously needed to pay more attention in physics class.

I'll get a new video tomorrow.

Not many of us have access to an area like the Salt Flats to do this. [/B]
Acualy and Offical IEDA landspeed track is 300 feet + a shutdown area. NOT an oval

Also the Soutwesttour group do insane speed runs at the encino veledrom. Infact August 28th will be a race there for oval, and im sure if enough people show they will do an insane class.

make sure ur video is less than 9 megabytes, one18th, wont allow any vids bigger than that thats why it wont upload right.at least since last year..I figured that problem out awhile ago...maybe now they wont even allow up to 3 megabytes?

EDIT: Vid doesn't work...then again I'm on Windows 98....I don't count

Where did you get 54 mph from? that seriously does not look much faster than a stock touring car.

worked for me but I had to convert it in quicktime.

One word "tripod". That camera person had a bad case of the shakes.
