Default Elco power supply volt adj. problem

hi there,

i have a elco power supply that i just got which has a volt adjusting pot on the side of the unit.

as it was putting around 10 volts out i turned the not to the right which is supposed to raise the voltage as the arrow shows but the tihng increased up to a point and it started to drop really fast and now no power is coming out even when i turn it back to original pos. and the led wont comeon anymore. i monitored it with a voltmeter FYI

this supply was supposed to be able to put out about 13.8V as specs sheet shows

anyone know why this is happening?

thanks anyways

I did the same thing. Its not broken, it has this automatic thing where it turns off if its put up too far. Wait for around 20 mins and plug it back in( make sure the arrow is at the same spot that it was originally in). The adjustment screw is very very sensitive, so do tiny adjustments.
