Twitch RC for Android

I was sick of entering the same information over and over into my phone.... "//3.14 * pinion, or was it spur, over spur, or was it pinion... maybe?... times my internal ratio... //"... only to do it over again for a couple of teeth more or less trying to get the FDR someone else was running...

Spent some time over the holidays and wrote a gearing app for Android... which I just finished adding to the Android Market.

Big difference over gearing apps are:
* you to quickly skip throw spur/pinions using the volume buttons...
* you can calculate the pinion (using the set spur and tire diameter) from a given Rollout or FDR
* you can see the speed your boost start/end at before and after gearing changes which allowing you to correct the range (useful for Tekin RS and other boosted ESCs allowing RPM configuration)
* you can stop guessing which spur to switch to with the gear chart you can see which spur gives you the ratios with your pinions
* you can forget your settings because TwitchRC remembers them for you.

The big missing features currently is support for multiple cars -- which is coming very soon, but I need information for other cars (internal ratios and max/min length for spur/pinion meshing) to add other cars before it gets added.

The homepage for TwitchRC is here:

http://bernie.dcbl.ca/wiki/wiki.php?...c&cscid=35&r=1

which has a long list of things I will be adding shortly along with some screen shots etc, and more information about the operation....

If you have suggestions or comments, ill be checking here for feedback.

Perhaps its just me but I could not get the link to take me to the site. I can get to the homepage, however the download link says the link is broken.

Calvin.

The link should work on a Android Devices, I just added the app last night and the link was not working.... I was not sure if it was because my app hadnt been processed yet or because I had made a mistake...

I am looking into it today. Thanks for taking a look.

Application is $1 Canadian, but all the upcoming upgrades are FREE once you've bought it!

The download link is supposed to open up Android market directly, I will look into that further today (as stated above).

Searching the store for "Twitch", "Twitch RC", or "Tekin", should bring it up near the top of the listing.

Thanks for the feedback Bob.

The current screen shots are a little old. The actual interface has radio buttons for 48/64 pitch, and I have compressed the layout so that everything is still visible when the keyboard pops up now.

I should have some updated screen shots posted today or tomorrow...

Good to see some native Android apps showing up, well done.

If you're in a place that's got internet access, igearchart.com renders nicely on Android's browser.

double checked the link on my Android phone today and when I click on it, it asks if I want to open it in the browser or in Market, when I select Market you are brought directly to it....

Ill add something to the page making it more clear you need to do it from your Android phone for it to work...

Thanks for the encouragement.

I know there are a lot of sites/apps out there already, so I am trying to add some features that help it stand out (like the Tekin Setup/info).... if you can think of anything else that u'd find useful in such an app, let me know and Ill see if I can get it added in...

Over the next couple of updates there will be support for multiple cars and downloading/uploading configurations to the server to help in the sharing of gearing/tekin setup info.

Did some quick browsing and found my problem - paid apps are not available in my country, so I don't see ANY paid apps in market.
