Default NEWBIE

Want to buy a car to race but I want it to be smaller than 1/10. I live in LI, NY and don't want to travel all over to race. So the car I would like to buy will have to be electric on road and a size that tracks in my area take. Anyone have any advice?

Id check the track locator forums/google/LHS/etc and figure out what classes people run at tracks near you, go to a race night and see which classes have good attendance, then buy accordingly. No point in buying a car based on internet speculation if nobody runs the class in your area.
