Post Indi Chargers

just wondering if the INDI 16x3v6 is a decent charger; I'm currently upgrading from a defective MRC 959. Does anyone have one of these? A page of the paperwork says that it is user-friendly, but after trying to understand working the charge and cycle functions... BOY, I DON'T KNOW .

I'm using a 16*5v6. It seems complicated, but actually it's quite easy to use.

I've also had a Apex sigma Plus, which is quite similar to the one you mention. That was very easy to use.

I've checked the Integy site, and it dont mention whichever the 16*3v6 is a linear or pulse charger. It neither mention if it has trickle charge.

With NiMh cells, it's important to NOT use trickle charge, nor pulse charge. Only use linear charge.

Try write to Integy to ensure these things.

Or consider getting the 16*5v6. This will be more expensive, because it aint got a built in power supply.

The LRP Pulsar Sport can be found for 100$. That might fit into your budget depending on what you'll have to spend on a PS. Or try the Millenium Pro, Tower have them in a combo with a PS for a reasonably price (140 or 160 I think).

Also consider, that it take around 45 minutes to charge a 3300 batt at 6 amps. So a double charger like the Yokomo BCS can be a good investement...

hopefully I'm using this charger (INDI 16x3v6) correctly, but more importantly not ruining my batts. After setting the charger to around 5.5amps, I let it do it's job.... when all is said and done, the #'s were as follows-

output voltage- 8.88v
output current- 5.99amps
capacity- 3592mAh
peak voltage- 9.05v
SEC (time in seconds)- 2165s ????

and the temp. on the battery was a whopping 120+; this isn't normal is it? what about the #'s, are those normal?

120 sounds just fine. If GP3300 is colder, they dont perform as well.
