I guess you guys just think ROAR sits around and draws paper out of a hat to see what the hell we are going to try and screw you out of next.....Fact is Ive talked to about 5 guys in the last few hours about this stuff to get RACERS and TRACK OWNERS opinions on what THEY want to see in the future. My email has been posted here and its on the ROAR web site. Anytime you want to talk or have suggestions feel free...but guess what youd rather come on here and bitch behind a screen name...like most others do as well.

Its not something that any of us take lightly as pretty much all of ROAR are racers too now....Weather it be off road, on road or nitro. We are not idiots as you are trying to make us out to be on a few different threads now. We are not out to kill racing or make you and others spend more money. We want to try and offer the best classes for everyone around the US for all types of racers from newby's to pro's. Is it going to make everyone happy? NO and never will and not going to try.

I'll go ahead and put it on here for everyone to read....If I get kicked out of ROAR so be it but Fact of the matter is yes ROAR is considering making the Stock class for 2012 21.5. Is it in stone...most deff not but it is something being considered. Time zone wanted to run VTA or a slower class than 17.5 and liked the idea of having the "sportsman" or "amateur" or slow class or whatever you want to call it being 21.5 as its something they already have there in place. HOST for the nats are allowed to submit for a "Track Option" class. We figured if they want to run it why not test the waters so to speak and see how it works out. Or would you rather ROAR just go ahead and make 21.5 THE stock class for next year without ever trying, asking or mentioning it???

You know I have learned over the years that racers always seem to think they KNOW what they WANT in racing but usually realize after its to late that it probably wasnt the right thing to do......

IMO as a racer I would much rather something be tested like this now than change the class for 2012 and then we are stuck with it even if it dont work.

Flame suit on so bring it!

And my email is [email protected] for anyone with suggestions, grips, complaints, deaththreats or what ever!

EA
we've had issues in the past you and I but I gotta say....bravo, bravo, loudly clapping bravo. its obvious from the other thread he had other issues as well.

I want to hug EA. Anybody that willingly puts himself in the line of fire for the benefit of his fellow men must be an alright guy.

I'm working on a way to convince my wife my attendance at this race would benefit her in some meaningful way. Wish me luck.

Default Clarification on Ametuer etc.

Mark,

I just want to clarify a previous post regarding who can run the 21.5 and 17.5 sedan classes.

As long as you don't run a mod class, sedan or 1/12th scale, you can run both 21.5 and 17.5 Sedan or 13.5 and 17.5 1/12th scale or any combination?

If you run either mod class you can also run 17.5 sedan or 13.5 1/12th but not the 21.5 sedan or 17.5 1/12th?

And finally no restrictions on who runs WGT?

Thanks,

Troy

Yes. Jackson will do whatever it takes to provde a handicap drivers stand. As long as we are made aware ahead of time there's a need for one

Big B thanks for the reply. Al has posted that it will not be an issue for Jackson. If the other track is having a ROAR race then we will get the info and pass it along to the ROAR Region rep there and have them work out some access for you to drive from. Please email me your info and the tracks info so I can look into it. [email protected]

The past is the past Ritchie. None of us make the right decisions all the time but thats why we are human. Just gotta learn from our mistakes and move forward. I just want to do my part and do what I can to help the racers get the best product/service they can from ROAR.

Did you get this info from rob @ LIR? the ramp leading up the track is wheelchair accessible, and there is one spot in the front middle that has a ramp, I always assumed it was for a wheelchair.

Good Morning Guys:.. well lot of activity on this thread last night. I will say it was NOT Timezone that requested the 21.5 TC class, but supported ROAR decision, gives the medium level TC racer two classes to run... Also stock 17.5 here is still only 1 to 1-1/2 laps off Mod TC..... and still within a sec of the WGT cars... again pretty sporty...

Alright ready to drop the other shoe, and announce the Spec Tires for the Event:

All Touring Car Classes shall run the Jaco Blues Rubber Tires, Maximum (4) set's per class, $26.00 each set. race tires must be purchased at the track.

WGT Class shall run the CRC Lilac Compound Foam Tires, Maximum (4) sets per Driver, $28.00 each set. Race tires must be purchased at the track.

The official Traction Compound for this event will be Corally "Jack the Gripper"
$10.00 per can.

We want to give a big thanks to the manufactures who have really stepped up to help us put the event on.

Thanks to Jack Rimer with Jaco Tires, Frank Calandra with CRC, and Rob Michaels at Corally USA/ Specialized RC for really stepping up. We have quite a bit of Class Sponsors and Event Title Sponsor to announce next week...

PS: If there are any drivers planning on attending which would require wheel chair access, please send us an e-mail and we will make sure you are accomodated. We have a 60" phenmatic lift that I am sure Rick can work his magic on and provide great access for those drivers.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but since the 21.5 TC class is Exhibition class do the motors have to be ROAR approved? If so who makes a ROAR approved 21.5?
