Loud XXXS G+ with spool?
 

I recently took apart the front dif and did the ol' lock with sandpaper to create a spool. When I raced it, it seemed louder. Not super crazy, but definately noticeable. I didn't change anything else. Is this normal?

The CVD's make more noise at full lock when you're running a spool. I personally like to build my spools with steel outdrives and JB Weld them together and run steel CVD's. Make sure you glue a .030 shim to the inside of the spindal to limit the steering throw.
