Make sure to use some sort of tire traction compound every time you go out (Jack the gripper, Paragon) Also, you could try softer compound of tire. Even laying down the shocks one hole can play around with steering options. For a great reference, the Corally RDX manual has ideas, and setup suggestions in the back. (Page 25-32)

I am putting this forum back up to the top. I just bought a used RDX and I am wondering what Lipo packs fit this car. I have been told the CORE RC 5000mah fits with no mods, but what else fits this car and what to I need on hand as upgrades. Listed below is the auction that I won on ebay. I have been trying to read through this forum its coming slowly but surely but its alot of info to process. Just to let you know I have a TT-01, Losi Type R and now a Corally RDX in the stable.

I got the RDX/Phi LiPo plate for both my VTA and RCGT for two reasons-
* I can run any 2 cell LiPo
* Easier to ballance the R/L weight of the car
With the spool, you are pretty much set up for upgrades.
Spare parts should include extra arms, and the HPI body posts.

the lipo tray is the way to go for sure. the most common things you will go through are frt and rear arms and wheel bearing 5x9x3

Doesn't the PHI have more space for Lipo than the regular RDX?

If someone can tell me if there is a Lipo with 4900mah capacity or more that will fit the RDX with out any dremeling that would be greatly appreciated. I have a Losi Type R as well and figure if it can fit in my RDX then it may fit in my Type R as well.

I had to shim up my top deck about 2-3mm to get room for a lipo on the RDX. Its a tight fit. And still, it was a bit hard to squeeze in. Hope that helps.

Which lipo was this? Need an idea of which one to try. I was thinking of the Reedy 5000 or the checkpoint 5400 or 4900 or trakpower 4900.

Hey congrats on the auction. Thats my buddies car. I have the RDX also and I have used the trinity hardcase, smc, orion, pretty much most of the hardcase lipos fit. He was using the core rc 5000mah.

You did not have to do any dremeling to your chasis? I was excited and surprised as well that no one else wanted this car. Its very nice and comes with parts which is a good thing. Thank your friend for me.

sorry for the double post but I think the way the wires come out of the lipo case is a bigger concern. Here is your car in action orange and black starting 3rd http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGh7_...layer_embedded
This is rubber tire by the way.

No dremeling required. This car came from a local pro before my friend got it(the announcer on the video) so it was in great shape when my buddy got it. He raced one points series of 5 races with it.
