The plastic eyelets on the shocks are for a 5.8mm ball. That part number you listed I believe is for turnbuckle ballends.

A new RDX owner here sold my TC3 and bought a used RDX. So any websites or advice that will help me set it up will be welcome.

Default Broken A-Arms

I raced on Sunday and between 4 RDX's we had 14 broken A-arms. What's the record?

Eric Anderson a couple years back broke 11 in one week before the roar pavement nats by himself. that's why they have the EA 12 pack of arms from corally.

Wow, old arms or new? What tires/wheels are you guys using? I broke two at once about a year ago with a side impact into the wall. Beyond that, I think 3 in one night is my record. It's been much better since the SRC bumper came out, and I'm using wheels where the axles don't get caught on boards.

No wonder EA is bitter. ;-)

Has anyone used the lowered roll center blocks (not the ones the car comes with). How did it affect the car's handling?

I think we were all using the new "improved" arms. I broke only one of the 50's the entire summer and then I moved to carpet with the new arms and suddenly I break them every other race. Ouch! Ive been using the speedmind tires. I realize the parmas are better for impacts but none of my crashes were from the side. I had three break and one was from tapping the wall with my tire turned in-ward, the other can from corner hits I think. Not sure, I theorize that sometimes they break sooner then you think and then a later hit finishes the job. I broke someone elses when they parked at the end of the straight and I didnt see them and ran into the back of them. Ive had a similar thing happen to me that broke both my rear arms. That rear bumper doesnt do much to help, it needs to be lower to help with rear impacts.

Im keeping my RDX but as a result of this Im going to get a TA05 to race on carpet and see how it does. One of the local fast guys runs it with success and never breaks anything (and he horses-around a lot).

The most I broke in a weekend was 2 and it was on 1 side hit running modified that I got them both at one time. Now its usually here or there.

I use the 'old' 50's all around and these days they are also holding up pretty well. Maybe it's because I don't hit the boards that much anymore!

I use the 35s all around on my carpet and asphalt cars. Have only broken one front arm since sitting across from Johnny Carey at the IIC in September. That boy brings me luck...
