I use them on my rubber asphalt car. Not sure what you are describing (the o-rings and shims at bottom, or shaft, ball cup and spring retainer, etc.)Anyway, mine fit fine. If you are trying to use them on a foam car, you might have to do some alterations if you use the lowered shock tower.

Im basically talking about the overall length of the shock. There are two ball cups that come with them. One is too long and the other two short. Using on standard shock towers.

These are the shocks Im using. http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=53571 (see top right for my two choices).

Just use the ball cups that come with the RDX shocks to mount the TRF shocks on your car... I used TRF's when I first got the RDX and switched back to the RDX shocks. I found as long as the RDX shocks were built right, they shocks are just as good as the TRF ones.

Regarding shocks...........

First off shock bladders are really affected by motor spray so do not spray them down when rebuilding or new ones. Once you fill the shock with oil, almost to the top, put the bladder in. Now make sure the piston is near the top which will help seal the shock. Once the bladder is in it will kind of drop in and start to seal. Use the backside of an xacto knife to push it into the shock body slowly.

Once this is done, put the shock cap on. This includes the aluminum and plastic piece. When putting the cap on and tightening, do no grip the plastic part. Only twist on the aluminum otherwise you run the risk of breaking the seal the bladder has created.

Hope this helps. The corally shocks are excellent. Just have a bit of patience. Usually the shockcaps is what causes the issues.

Jeff

One thing I've noticed that really helps is to make sure there's no oil on the outside of the bladders, or in the shock cap. If there is, it makes it very easy for the bladder to slip into the shock body when tightening down the cap. This was the main thing I was having trouble with forever, and once I started being mindful of it, shock building (using Jeff's excellent instructions) was much easier. I'm quite fond of the shocks now that I understand them better.

The new black packaging tape looks good! :-D Thanks for the quick shipment guys, just in time for tomorrow's club race.

How long until you guys are allowed/willing to discuss the new car? I know it's been rumored that it's intended more for rubber because of the top deck, but the thick version for the current RDX is 3.9mm, and seems pretty solid.

I guess that confirms the rumors about easy access bulkheads and easy rollcenter changes. Both are extremely welcome updates. I'm still wondering how the new, narrow bulkheads are going to work with the rear arms and CVDs. It seems inevitable that they'll have to use the outer holes on the arms and hubs with longer CVDs to make width. Makes sense, I guess, since the holes are there on the current parts, but there's no CVDs available to let us use them.

Tell me about it. I love my RDX, but this car looks beautiful. It's like the summation of all the awesome updates we've seen the last two years, plus a bunch of other stuff we've seen creep into most of the major kits on the market now. I've got a giant pile of cash here I'm ready to hand over for the new car as soon as it's ready.

Yea man, this is where the Corally people hang out. You should look for the FK05 thread, it's probably on page 200 or so. Just kidding, but there's a lot of banter in the T2'007 thread about the new XRay.

You think my RDX looks nice? This new one is 100% eye candy.
