so a narrower front tire nets more steering? Just as a counter point wouldn't a wider tire offer more contact patch thus giving more steering?
Has anyone tried the new arms with the new narrow hubs? Still ahve this problem? I prefer not to have to trim plastic off my tires, I guess I'm just anal like that. I am still holding out for the parmas to have a bit more offset.
Thanks for the info though bill. Im always open to new ideas. And is you ask Mr. McGoo I am always thinking wich according to him is NOT agood thing. I talk his ear off when we pit together at our LHS boucing ideas off him.

Hello all,

1. Just wondering if there is an optional (smoother/stronger/ceramic?carbide?) thrust bearing assemble that is recommended.

2. How many cone washers are recommended...4,5, or 6?

3. Lastly, has anyone used/prefer the axiom thrust washer.

Cheerz

Jeff Brown,
A ways back you said you were checking on new mounting hardware for sway bars with the new 35 arms/wishbones. Any news on how to mount sway bars to the arms or new hardware? A picture would be fanatastic.

Thanks

Default question CVD

got a quick question ....did a search..but couldn't find the answer.

CVD's ...have to change one up front ..got a bit bent.

I have a few sitting in my box..but they are different colors...
i have a set of a purple tint
and a few sets of the blueish tint CVD

Is there a difference in material or is just one set is older than the other or something else.

thanks

Corally can't seem to make up its mind on what color it wants to anodize things. There's a light blue and a darker blue... both are duraluminum. The steel ones (which I highly recommend) are black. I haven't bent a steel one in a year since I switched. Good stuff.

To be certain, weigh them. The steel ones should be heavier, and the two you've got should weigh the same as the one you bent.

I put my 4mm chassis back on tonight and regretted it. For whatever reason, the 2.9 feels a lot better to me. Maybe it's because we don't spray our carpet or something. The car was twitchy as hell with the 4mm.

Jeff is in Vegas right now. I would expect he will be back on the boards after Tuesday.

Cool!

Is the center link and deck a bolt on? Available yet in USA?

I just got mine today, and I live in the US. Yea it's pretty much a bolt on. All you have to do is use the left side bell crank and relocate one of the ball studs so they are both side by side, and then flip the bell crank post upside down so it screws into the topdeck rather than the chassis.

Ah, cool. It's not listed on their site yet.

That's an interesting looking pulley you've got there. Is it not aluminum for both belts?

That new topdeck looks like it will almost definitely interfere with the Orion LiPo batteries. One of the holes would be trapped under the topdeck. :-( I hope that's not the case... here or with with new car.
