This is one of those things you can't buy. You get it through a ton of practice or natural talent.

FYI, look at your local pro's batteries. You can buy cells that are just as good or better from half a dozen battery companies.
I always kind of suspected that, but it's great to hear it from someone in the know. This seems to be the bane of foam tire touring car guys that like to "slot car" it, rather than drive flowing and "swoopy."

Ok, thanks a lot. So should I just keep gearing the way I have been till I get better?

i'm a dirt oval guy making the switch over to touring and i purchased a RDX. That being said i'm trying to cram all of the electronics in this thing....how in the heck do i do it. I'm running a JR 8800s servo with a novak gtb and a spektrum micro receiver. So any help would be great. oh ya i have a personal transponder to put in as well.

mount the GTB on it's side, with the heatsink/fan hanging just over the edge ofthe chassis sort of thing, you can fit the spektrum micro receiver behind the GTB between the speedy & the belt then i think

failing that - receiver on top of the servo

You shouldn't have any problems getting your electronics in there... look for pics earlier in this thread showing you how some of the other guys have done it.

Default Micro

micro reciever is a good choice..
but you can place the micro standing up...long ways...against the servo right behind the steering mechanism....
i had to take file and just shave off a little from the underside of the top deck.
or just mount on top of the servo that works also.

Lets play "find the PT"
HINT . . .its not plugged into my esc

I cut the antenna on my spektrum so it fits under my body.

I haven't had any issues with reception or missing laps after 2 months and 2 different tracks.

Uhh . . yeah. We saw these roosters running wild in the Kountry (in-laws )
I have never been more proud of catching an animal!

Racing will be on Sunday because of the robowars this week Galdo. I'll be there Sunday if you have the batteries then though. I put a cycle through them this week just to see how they are and some of teh 3300's are still charging to 4000!! Thanks for the compliment. Im pretty stoked with my set up.

Here's my latest electronics layout. It's not the cleanest, but it seems basically impossible to make anything terribly pretty with all the BL wires, especially on the RDX. The car is filthy after a long night of racing, and I was too lazy to hit it with the air hose after the main.

I wonder how that new topdeck will affect putting plugs into the Orion LiPo packs.
