Default Quick Comment.... Wasted Space....

I'm still in my NEW RDX OWNER euphoria.

It would be nice if this was a thread for RDX Help and Related Topics.

NOT

"Yo dude, when you comin to SoCal?"

"wow man that chick is hot!"

"Corally is better than.....your POS......"

PLEASE

Keep this thread relevant.

If you guys wanna chit chat, save it for email.

Mr Thread Nazi- this thread is general discussion for RDX: = means everyone's trying to establish a community and "bond" with other drivers so that everyone can benefit. Chit chat , exchange ideas, getting in touch with drivers in your area., having fun, race connections and all.

If you just want it to be tech then establish a new thread

RDX - Tech, Tuning and Setup Tips

and another

RDX - Racing & Product news

Then you don't have to wade through the banter.

I just started those thread for you so post there if you need stuff otherwise relax and enjoy what everyone on this thread like is commaraderie..keep if fun and exchange and be part of the best rc race car team RDX!

Default Sure I guess......

But if you notice.....

This thread started with tech and setup stuff.

This isn't the local bar and grill, it's RC Tech.

I appreciate your effort to start new threads, but that will further confuse newbies.

How about I start a thread for RDX Buddies and Cali locals Chit Chat? That way you 3 or 4 guys that have now filled up 5-6 pages with worthless stuff that means nothing to anyone outside your neighborhood will have a place to hang?

Thread Nazi's hi-jack a thread.... sound familiar?

I'll stop back by when you tire of the mind numbing hoo haa and get back to talking about important stuff.....

If anyone else agrees.... great.

Now I'm wasting space....

....There are two reasons why we need to know the location of the roll center. One is to help determine the camber change characteristics, the other is to help determine how the dynamic forces will influence the handling of the race car. The height of the roll center (above or below the ground) affects the camber change characteristics. The position left or right of the centerline of the car will determine how the suspension will react to the dynamic forces which will cause the car to roll in the turns.......

Lowering the roll center gives more chassis roll so more traction. Here is the link http://circletrack.com/techarticles/4637/ if you want more indepth info.

Jeff
Jeff, my understanding of roll center is that it only changes the rate at which the chassis rolls, not the magnitude of the roll. Springs, downstops, and like you mentioned arm positioning (laterally) are what effect the magnitude of the chassis roll.

High roll center = rolls quicker, more initial traction but then breaks

Low roll center = rolls slower but smoother, less initial bite but has the feeling of more overall bite.
