Default edam lift off

i have a edam razor that has been converted to electric. i run 6s lipo in it. the car is very fast, superb handling. at hi speed it will lift off the ground and flutter through the air, sometimes i even have hang time with it. i adjust the spoiler wings etc. sometimes think i did something cause i will run it hard for a good bit with no problem. all of a sudden it will do it again. sometimes doin a lot of damage.sometimes lands on its wheels and looks like i did 1 heckuva stunt lol. if anyone has any insight on what i could do to help stop this problem [please let me know. thanks in advance for your time.

Thats a wierd, but interesting problem. I'd say its 90% down to aerodynamics. What body do you run? How is it mounted? Dropping the nose should help, as air under the body could be generating lift, but I'm not a physicist.

im running the razor body. i bought new body mounts front and rear. the new rear are adjustable. i raised the rear a notch which will apply more down force which i hope will help. havent run it since i did that. but the manufacturer says this shell in the wind tunnel performed better than any other is why they chose to stay with it. no one makes a after market that "fits" it. they have the one called the lola that will not go down on the car unless it has a nitro motor in it because the nitro motor goes in the rear. gas tank in center with low center of gravity. well its converted gas tank is gone upper chassis is modified to hold battery tray, esc, receiver. so the shell that they say will work will not work. lol i tried. im about to give up and back up to 5s and just run it to death. no problem at all on 4 or 5s. run6s and it has wings, so it thinks.but it is very fast on 6s. but very and i mean very controllable. it is effortless squeeze the trigger and point. it will go strate.thanks for the insight anyway.

Razor body do you mean PN: P0320? If you converted to electric with the kind of speed these things are doing you should run a "pan am" type body like a lola or P909. There should not be any problem mounting them as the stock Razor body mount fit perfectly. And most unpainted body the cutout for the engine and gas tank are not cut at the factory, so just don't cut it. Another things is make sure the front end is not too low as if you run on rough track, even the slightest bump or rock will send the car flying.

i bought the p-909 shell for it. the way i have the esc mounted im having to cut out for the esc a bit and also the handle that sticks up to carry with. when i raised the rear body mount on the factory p0320 it became very stable with no lift at all. therefor allowing this car to go very fast. i have not had lift off since i put a new factory p0320 shell on and raising the rear body mount which allows direct downforce on the mounts if your familiar with the chassis set up you know what im speaking of. that has made the car fun again. it handles very well now that it doesnt fly away. also like i said im working on the p-909 body trying to make it as perfect as possible with a nasty paint scheme on it. im gonna raise the cock pit up about 1/4in. to allow for the electronics on the under side. im gonna use a screen type mesh to fill it in so it will still look good and be able to get air also without messing with the dynamics of the body. this shell will hold down even better i agree. i ran a friends top which was a lola. that top allowed for some serious evasive manuevering. i loved that. part of the reason i bought the shell. mthanks for your input. im willing to do everything possible to drain every mph possible out of this car. i have some good numbers now. im sure it has a lot more in it.
