true, very true! i just thought that this tool could be useful, the only way i could test speed before was to run my car naext to a real car, though this is not 100% accurate. also know i can find out how much faster a modified would make me go.

Without seeing the program I assume it just takes the circumference off you tires multiplied by (motor RPMs / internal ratio)
But how do you know how many RPM's your motor will make? This will depend on the track, tires, body, wind et. etc.

i suppose when you get your motor some have a dyno readout with rpm on it also some websites have approx rpm for motors. yes that is how it works

i think the venom speed meter may do a beter job at this task

The RPM's stated by websites, on the motor or on the dyno will never be the RPMs the motor reaches since the loads are different.
