Default What Motor For TC Modified

Heya Onroad Dudes,
I've been racing offroad 2wd and 4wd modified for prob around a year now and thought i might try onroad tc modified. only problem is im not sure what turn motor to run? I've got a 5.5 Speed passion v3 that i can put in it but i dont wanna get blasted on the straights so im not sure? Also Im going to run a Hpi Pro4, just wondering if these are still competitive.

Thanks,
Matt

You can only go so fast on the straight remember you do have to turn. Running modified in TC is completely different than in an off-road vehicle. I can run the crap out of off-road car but on a TC car you need more finese.

In Aus most people run motors between 4-5.5t for mod. A 4.5t is the most commonly used motor for sure

If you have to ask, don't run mod.

The most commonly used motor here in Denmark in mod, is 5.5T, so your SPv3 5.5T should be fine.
If it is not enough for you, you can start playing around with a bit of timing-boost.
