solder gun

i have a 30watt will that be good for soldering rc stuff or should i go ahead and get the 60 watt?

If the 30 watt is good enough, why get the 60 watt? That is the question.

no i said WILL my 30watt produce enough heat to solder rc stuff or should i get the hotter 60 watt

get the 60. solder guns don't work very well though, i'd go for a standard pencil type iron.

Right, I'd be surprised if even a 60 watt gun did any good, as they just can't produce enough heat at the tip to make that much of a difference(& more importantly, a gun's tip just doesn't have enough surface area to transfer heat quickly to the thigns you;re soldering). I'd just reccomend that you get a 40-60watt pencil-type iron with a decent, broad chisel style tip, those will work just fine....
