As mentioned before it is hemi wound(not cross wrapped) and It dosent have the ROAR mandated stepped shaft sticking out of the endbell side. Those two things keep it from being legal.

Oh, Ok thanks. I didn't know it was hemi wound and it doesn't have the "stepped" shaft.

These purple springs can they be trinity ones
I have noticed that they will only fit one side of the end bell ,I may have to move the spring mounting point to where the brush heatsink is

You have the EPIC stock springs. What you need is two of the regular springs. Epic stocks have the spring posts on the same end of the endbell....which requires a special spring for one of the sides.

I have the regular springs for $1 a pair if you need them or any good hobby shop could get them, just tell them you want the modified trinity springs, not the stock.

Thanks i got some today and there was 6 pairs and i managed to sort it out ,so im going to run it with 766 and purple springs is that the way to go , what should i expect lot of rpm or grunt out of the corner Thanks edd

Question for anyone who knows the answer: Why does it matter if the armature shaft is tapered? I can't figure out why this is required by ROAR.

Just so it is easy and fast for them to verify that the armature is legal. It has nothing to do with performance.

I've been running 19t for a few weeks now and I really like the Reedy quad mag motor. Once I got the gearing nailed it was just as fast as a C2 but felt like it have a little more rip out of the corner. For a C2 I've been running purple springs with high silver brushes. Fast but needs to be cut every two runs. The quad mag seems to last awhile between cuts.

I have a 19T arm that does not have the taper at the end and is missing the tag, its brand new.... what are my chances of using it at this roar race... just curious... sorry for so many questions.

Yeah, that's it. Not sure if it's legal or not. It's weird, even ROAR doesn't always follow their own rules regarding 19t spec. I think their rules state that the motor can't have ball bearings, but at the recent on road nationals the Reedy motor with bearings was the handout.

Well, you wont be using any motor you buy outside that race (from a hobby shop or whatever) to run at a Roar race, because they give handout motors and include the motor in the entry fee.

And yes, that is the correct motor.

Well the thing is, as long as it is the handout, and everyone is using it, the rules don't apply. Roar can give whatever they want...it doesn't have to be legal...as long as everyone gets the same motor.
