Default Best location for Capacitor - XXXS

I have just added the schottky diode wiring harness to my car, and I have the capacitor ready to install. My question is about the best placement for the cap.

If I shoe goo it to the side of the ESC, it will hang over the side of the chassis slightly -

Would that be a problem? I hit things alot

Or I can tie wrap it to the wires next to the diode -

Would this be a problem? With the cap and diode that close to each other?

Any ideas or suggestions would be great. The leads on the cap are long enough to give me a little flexibility in mounting.

Mount it on top of the gear cover, drill two small holes on the top of the cover large enough to thread a zip tie thru. Then set the cap on top use some dbl. sided tape to help hold it in place then tighten down the strap!

This always worked well for me!

That is a thought. I am not sure if the leads on the cap are long enough to reach from there though.

I went ahead and shoe goo'ed it to the side of the RX (as in the first pic) - time will tell if I knock it loose...
