Piston Holes
Hello,
what is the effect on how many holes there are in the pistons? Cheers Jordan |
more holes the quicker the car will roll upon changing steering left to right. its like more holes is equal to chaning to thinner weight shock fluid. thus more holes is like heavier fluid
I am sure someone else can explain it better |
go to suspension page 2 this is a tuning guide that is very helpful

Piston hole size is varied quite a bit off-road to change the pack damping based on the bumps and jumps. It allows the damping to become progressive so that when landing off a big jump the car doesn't bottom out.
On-road we don't normally worry too much about pack damping as we've got less bumps, no jumps, and much stiffer springs. Which is why for any given brand of TC almost all the setup sheets have the same pistons. |
Awesome cheers Dale
