Default Anyone do anodizing anymore?

Looking to get a few parts anodized black and some titanium camber links Xray orange. Anyone familiar with RC and can match well? I don't think Owen racing does it anymore. Thanks

Getting titanium and aluminum to match with the same color under some circumstances is a pain. I'm not familiar with what chemical processes they use for Xray orange, so I don't know.

I don't know of anybody doing it. I will let everybody know when I decide to go back, but it is not at the top of my list.

Thanks

I know EddieO just got an anodizing setup for aluminum parts. So I guess look for team brood to be offering anodizing service soon!

Deluxe Annodizing in Buffalo, NY. They can do any color and handle a few chassis manufacturers here in the states. No website, so give them a call at 716-856-6203.

DIY? All you'd need are:

Anodizing:
1. 12V power supply
2. aluminum plate (old hard disk will do) or lead sheet
3. lead wire, aluminum rods/wire
4. a deep enough plastic bin (enough to have the parts you want anodized submerged completely)
5. battery water (for the oldschool car batteries with refillable reservoirs)
6. organic water soluble dye (i last used t-shirt dyes)
7. a small stove and pot for dying and finishing

my old rig (don't have it anymore though...)
