Which ESC?
 

Hi there,

After just hours of use my Nosram Magnum reverse ESC has failed and my LHS has offered me the chance to have any ESC they stock at cost price. So far I'm looking at either a Nosram Power Missile, LRP Quantum Pro Sport or a LRP Quantum Sport Reverse. I know these are in some respect made the same howeve I wondered whether there would be any benefit from one to the other? I have seen elsewhere that apparently units which just have a forward/brake function are quicker than those with all 3, is this true and should I head that way? The Nosram apparently has a feature where the reverse function can be switched off, would this, if the theory is correct, enable me more speed??

iv also heard this theory and would think it would be down to resistance and a forward break speed controller would have less internal resistance therefore more power from the cells is reaching the motor. You could have a look att he specs of the speed controllers and see what on has the lkeast resistance and his should give you the most power
