Well, currently i've got an electric tc3. I bought it used online and there's just things that aren't quite right. So i'm thinking I should sell the tc3 and get something different.

Well, I just got a job at a Toyota Dealership and they happen to sell Tamiya's. I get a discount on them so was wondering what the good kits are? Also, how much to they cost on the average?

Yeah, it's in the TRD/Parts store. They hold races every few weeks and only race Tamiyas. I don't plan on racing there, but love discounts...lol

So back on topic, between the EVO IV and 415, which one would be better for carpet? I'll be running a stock motor with rubber tires.

You should race with them for the hell of it. Do they sell Tamiyas at all Toyota dealers?

Its hard to say what to run because the Evo Iv just came put & I've never driven the 415.

I drive the Evo3 Surikarn outdoor. Haven't taken it indoor yet but it handles suprisingly smooth for a shaft driven car. It also reacts really well to the right changes. Tamiya cars are specifically designed for use with rubber tires.

That's Burien Toyota, they've been a long time Tamiya supporter. In fact, their TCS regional is coming up in 3 weeks or so.

A great car to look at is the F201 Formula one car. It's a far leap from the 2wd version it REPLACED. The F201 is 4wd is easier to drive and very realistic to real Formula One cars, right Gary?

the evo4 should be better then the 415 but theres only one person i know here whos driven the evo4 and thats jdm.

You can't go wrong with just about anything that anyone has said on here. One thing to keep in mind about what makes the TC3 competitive in stock is the shaft drive. The 415 is a belt drive car. In my experience the shaft cars tend to spool up faster out of the corners. Also, what is the length of track that you are running on? The word on the street is that the 415 is more suited to long fast tracks, wheras the EVO4 is better for the tighter more technical tracks. Just my $.02

I agree with what BP SHADOW mention a while ago. These is also what we have observe when we're running in the track.. Im also using my 414m2 if the track is really more on straights..

I have just finished putting together my TB Evo IV and I gotta say that its just fantastic. Yet to take it at full speed, but the car has just got pinpoint handling and the power to ground is also fantastic. I haven't driven a 415, but I'd say its better already.

I believe that the Evo IV was raced by some competitors at Tamiya Raceway in America recently and the Evo IV won and beat the lap record for the track, by 0.4seconds!!! I could be wrong, but that is what I have heard.

Like the other guys said, see what other guys are running, see what budget you have and if applicable, check out the 415 and Evo IV forums, or whatever other type of chassis you intend on buying.

Well, if you ask us Tamiya lovers.....ALL Tamiya cars are great !! I can only second what everybody else has already said. Most important is buy what you can afford !! Tamiya has the largest range of cars around. As for top of the line cars, my personal favorite is the Evo3S but I'm definitely looking forward to the Evo4. Good Luck and do yourself a favor.... Start racing with Burien, I think you'll enjoy it.
