I put something similar on "challenge formula one". TMracingcomponents made really good foams for F103's until the F201 came out. Then they stopped making F1 foams. Lot's of F1 going on out there and it seems to be growing. I wonder how we could convince them that we would like to have an American supplier we could count on if for nothing else just the foams w/ no wheels. I think we could do the mounting part. Soooo...what do you guys think?

Are you talking about a group buy or petitioning them into developing a range of tires?

Even I'm not sure about this. It is a business and they would want to make a profit. If they thought the market was back then yes, they would probably start making them again. I used to run those tires and never had a problem with them other than they did not last 5 years and were not sold for 5 bucks a dozen. Maybe they will catch on soon that we need them back. But, maybe a group buy could work at the local level if they could give a minimum number and price. TRC used to do something similar.

Mantis, Good luck on the rubber thing. Most companies don't give out trade secrets. Of course Andy has a tennant that is from Japan. I think he uses him for ordering stuff from time to time. You know the deal. "Your getting me my stuff or I'll raise the rent or nuke another city!

latest creation, this one is not for sale , im just playing around. so far it has out performed my FQ and every other car on the track! it is direct drive, oil filled gear dif , independent rear suspension, mid-motor placement, super low CG and a real carbon functional diffuser. chassis is the same shape as the bottom of the body to keep airflow smooth which allows the diffuser to work properly. gear ratio is 3.25 and cannot be changed so im testing different combos between boosted,2s/3s 17.5,21.5,3300kv etc etc. last week i raced it with a 3300 kv and it took the power but since the battery is small run time is about 11 minutes , i will need 12 for the national !

So Marcus, I read your post but there are no pictures showing. Looks like Photobucket isn't working maybe?

Better patent the IRS F1 before Tamiya copies it.

here are some clips of the MWXIRS at the actual notional track. it rained a few days ago and the mgr is out of town racing at the 1/8 scale on-road worlds. so no preparation and extremely dusty, pollen everywhere but you can get a jist of what to expect!

a clip from last night still 17.5 but the program is setup for the big track so the limiter was at 40% and the boost delay is .5 seconds so it never really comes on. i rigged up some softer front tires (old school caps!!) and they work much better. you will notice that on the left hand turn in the infield the car wants to spin. at the time i did know what it was but my springs had collapsed and i never lubed the king pins from the initial assembly. i didnt take any video after i fixed the problem but it was much better than what you see here. i have a Murfdogg 13.5 coming tomorrow and i think it will give me the power i need. i also think i found a way to get 3.90 gear ratio instead of 3.25, that will help alot
