Default HB 12x or crc gen-xl - price is a concern, thoughts?

I was debating on a new crc 1/12 gen-xl but I can get a deal on the hot bodies 12x for about 1/2 the price. Is there any reason to not snag the HB? are they on the same level? I'm a newb to carpet racing and appreciate the input. thx

Is the hb a new design car, I thought it was a t-bar car and would be difficult to setup with running 1s lipo compared to the crc, plus crc parts are easier to get.
