+1 Would rather watch a realistic looking car going around the track than something exotic looking

I've been toying with the idea of putting one of these on the track, just to have some fun with it all!

Order from your local hobby store, direct, or become friends with ebay.

I actually ran this at our HPI challenge 2 years ago. It actually was not a bad handling body, but I kept traction rolling. I also had the HPI hard plasti wing that comes with the one 350Z body mounted on the back. Oh yeah that was also on a gas car. If I can find the picks I'll post them up.

See, someone else crazy enough to have fun with it all! Since it's so tall, being top heavy and traction rolling easier is my fear. I'm the SLOW guy at our track, so for me, I probably won't notice much difference for a while! LOL

Oh you have no idea, lol. Wait till I find the pics. I think they were on HPI's site.

EDIT: Found the pics, scroll down to the bottom, you'll know it when you see it.

Would be utterly cool to have a realistic Honda Civic FD2R bodyshell for 1/10th Touring cars....

It made top 5 in the concourse event. lol I was really suprised at how well it handled. I think a lot of my traction rolling issue also had to do with the body post flexing cause they were like 2' long.

But from what I have noticed, most run nsx body, some ebro 350r's (both which are now banned by tcs because thats all anyone ran). And most bodies are "good enough" just need some leading edges/angles for steering, and low enough for some speed. I've see most of the competitive people change out the stock wings for something more protoform'ish.
This rule may have been changed.....these are the rules as of 2011...

"All car bodies must be painted and must be cut along the trim lines. You are not allowed to create extra vent holes for the purpose of ventilation or performance enhancement. Leaving extra material below the trim lines of the body is prohibited.
21. All car bodies must use the wings that are supplied in the kit. Mixing and matching ABS plastic wings, between different body styles, is not allowed. Part number 53470 (Lightweight Wing) and 53604 (Racing Wing Set) or any future OPTIONAL wing set is legal for any sedan/sports car body as long as the body is pre-marked with dimples for the option wing mount. See specific class rules for restrictions.
22. In the spirit of keeping TCS Racing scale in appearance to the public, the Subaru Legacy B4 body (items 53727, 49374 & 53824) is not legal for all GT classes."

This also reads the option wings are now legal also!
