TCX and 417 for sure
You need also to have a gear diff, i think this is good for spec race.

Like Nilks said, running what most others run at your location is the best way to start in any class! I did the same but went with the cheaper version of what most were running, the T3R and was not disappointed. Little by little I have found good used T3 parts to replace the cheaper parts used by Xray on my T3R. Found a graphite chassis and upper deck in great condition for $35.00, full set of turnbuckles $15.00. For swing shafts, arms etc. SpecR
You don't have to spend a ton of money to be competitive!
