Default Tamiya TT-01 off road mods?

I have an extra Tamiya TT-01 chassis lying around that I would like to modify to make it suitble for off road abuse. I know Tamiya offers a few kits like the RTR Subaru Impreza WRC that use the TT-01 chassis. I was wondering if there is anybody who could give me some suggestions on how to protect the suspension arms as well as the drive shafts without sacrificing suspension travel, steering, etc. Maybe there are add-on parts that are available that I do not know about?

Except for getting all kinds of rocks and dirt up on top where the batteries are, I don't think you would have to worry about protecting it much. All the important stuff is all sealed up pretty well, and the arms look plenty beefy.

I don't know what the TC3 rally conversion does to keep dirt out, but you might want to check it out.
