Congrats Alex!

Now when Xray calls Alex a Stock National Champ in their ads they wont be refering to his 1/12th win with a Speedmerchant car...lol!

Alex is running a factory kit with a special chassis from xray that they dont sell but you can get one that is real simular from BMI.

I thought you had to run cars and parts that are available to the public in stock? Didn't something similar happen at the Carpet Nats? Oh well, I don't care- I wasn't in the main...lol

Roly- this was taken from the ROAR rules-

8-12: Vehicles, parts and accessories used in Stock electric classes must be readily available
through retail outlets at least 14 days prior to the event.

Wouldn't a special chassis that makes the car faster and handle better be considered a part or accessory? Wasn't this the same chassis that he ran at the Carpet Nats and it still isn't available to the public?

From the ROAR 2004 rulebook posted on their site:

"8-12: Vehicles, parts, and accessories used in Stock electric classes must be readily available through retail outlets at least 14 days prior to the event."

Congrats to Alex on the win. It's great to see someone who's come so close so many times finally win one.
