I've heard the fans sold here are great. I have one of the motors and it's fantastic. Currently I'm just using a muchmore ultra high speed cooling fan and it moves enough air for my needs.

I have to agree on the motors and the fan. I've got my fan hardwired to the speedo and it puts out some serious airflow.

Does anyone happen to have any specs on that fan? I asked and can't seem to get a strait answer. Couldn't even get the measurements.

Somebody knows what maximum voltage for this fan?

Yeah Racing fans, light and efficient, there are also different types of support, look to RC Mart.

Attachment 713866

YR fans are ok on BeC voltage but fail real quick when you hook em up to your battery voltage.

The Boss/Fantom fan both move more air than anything else out there. If you just want the fan alone, it's cheaper from Fantom with shipping. If you're already buying a Boss motor, it's cheaper from Boss since it's discounted and you're already paying shipping. Either way, it's a 100% must have.

I changed over from a heatsink/Muchmore super fan to the Boss fan alone, and dropped an additional 15degrees. Since then, I've added it to all of my cars.

Are you sure that the boss and fantom fans are the same?

I ahve been using this fan for a while now on battery volts:

Have not yet had a failure though i have a few sitting in my box as spares.

It moves some serious air and only weighs about 9g

Really?:weird:
Never happened with me!

Is it just me or the YR fans are very brittle... the plastic support easily breaks off upon impact... that could also be due to my less than competent driving skills...

x2, I ran a dual YR Fan set-up during a weekend of racing. Connected directly to - & + poles on the ESC. They ran fine on 2s Lipo, and still do.

I also had them running for roughly 10 minutes prior to the race, and for another 30 after to keep things cool.

most mini fans are rated at 5volts, and do not have a long life. The 12v fans however are not powerful enough on 8.4volt lipos. Sunon fans are the best rated fans you can get, nothing comes close.
