Default capacitor/ schottky diode

hey folks....

please help me on choosing a power capacitor and shottky diodes for my motor....

I'm planing to install a 10000uF cap, but I don't know what voltage rate the cap must be (10V??? 16V??? )....

About the schottky.....I read on Novak website that the minimum rate is 35V/8A.....but most drivers use 3amps (40 volts) at the track where I use to run.....
