The carbon deck should work fine and the stock frp deck will fit with some grinding. it is a little tight by the vertical arm but it will fit. If you are still having problems post some pics so we can help better.

I'll get some pictures tonight. I get the feeling I might have assembled the motor mount wrong.
On a side note. Damm turning those screws into the plastic is hard. Only did about 10 screws and my hand was hurting

Don't forget you'll need to flip the belts when using the vertical motor mount.
Plus you'll need to modify the battery holders to clear the flipped belts.

Any pictures of the mods needed for flipped belts? Should I have an idler pully to hold it up and away from the battery?

HAd my first real run of my sakura today. And its a really nice car but the stock tyres are trashed with in 10 min And they provide very poor traction.
I will run it again next weekend with my new vta tyres and i hope it gets better

Glad you like the car. I agree with you about the stock tires. I haven't had much luck with them either. The vta tires should hook up pretty decent. You may need to male a spring change or two and some camber and toe adjustments but the kit set up should be pretty close.

It's probably because they're far softer than any tires they ran, then I went and tried them outside in the parking lot and it was like riding on a stick of butter... and it wore out pretty fast.

Hey, did anyone ever think of removing the main belt, converting it to 2wd?

Why would you want to?

Well, more variations of the same car. Also, to try how 2wd works on RC.
Sounds like I'm alone with this curiosity.
