Most wil fit if you are using the optional spur gear mount plates (one with the screws)

I use a 100 tooth 64 pitch, I would think any spur would work.

I also use a 100 tooth 64 pitch spur and a 45 tooth pinion. Works fine, but i have the vertical motor mount. I am not sure I could tighten the motor down without it as the spur gear covers the screws.

On another note. I switched to use AE springs with the 4mm towers. What a difference. The car can turn!!! Back end is a little loose under power. Just need to setup the car better. Got the narrow rears coming, might stiffen up the front more. I just could never get the car to work with the 3racing springs. I am much happier with the car now. Best part is when I beat all the $400+ car guys it just tastes that much sweeter.

I tried to search for them them but they seem to only come with the sakura zero s kits and alum shocks. What i have in mind is to build the composite shocks for my Tamiya M05 where the shock caps are 1 piece, looks pretty brittle too. Prefer the two piece design.

Any leads? Thanks

Thinking of getting a elect on road for fun to run a 17.5t with lipo.

Do i need to upgrade anything to run lipo?

what size lipos fits? would intellect 5000mah 40c fit?

what pinions are you guys running on 17.5? iv been reading you cant fit a pinion on 17.5 because the pinion will be too be for the motor mount

Also any recommended upgrades?

You don't need to upgrade anything to run li-pos. Your 5000 should fit.
I'm running a 25.5 motor and I'm running a 47 tooth pinion. Don't know what you would need for 17.5 but I imagine smaller.
Is suggest buying the vertical motor mount. Makes motor install easier. That's it really. All I changed at first. I've slowly upgraded some of the plastic to aluminum parts. Rear bulkhead, front suspension mounts and the steering mechanism ao far. By the way, if you get the vertical motormount, you will have to switch the belts. Ling belt will go on right side and it will be in the way of battery mount. I nodded mine to fit so I could still use the mount, but you can still just tape battery in and should cause no trouble. It's a good car, and easy on the wallet.

Not if you have a dremel or sandpaper. But the graphite does look good

Ok so I just got myself a 3 racing zero...for leisure as well as a little racing...I am rookie in on-road and will be running 17.5 no timing...what gearing should I go with?

I already ordered up a couple of spare parts(since I'm off road guy I may hit a thing or 2 lol)

You want a FDR between 3.8 to 4.4 depending on your motor temps and track. I run 100/43 in my 17.5 TC no timing comes off at 145F. Depends on your motor and the motor timing you should come off at 140-160F.

But you will need the VERTICAL MOTOR MOUNT to be able to run a spur around 100 teeth to tighten the motor screws!!!
