Great ideas everyone. keep them flowing.
I work for a roofing material distributor and will check with a few roof coating manufactures for ideas.

I would like to thank everyone for their input, and we are getting close to making a decision.

We're having our first club/organizational meeting this Saturday at Hobby Town USA in Mooresville, NC at 12:30.

Right now we're looking at renting an industrial concrete grinder/sander, at about $500 for the weekend, and painting the floor with one of two or three choices. VHT is also being considered. We briefly considered carpet, but prefer to not have to run any Paragon or other traction compounds every week, and carpet + subfloor is not in the budget.

I've pinned down a more precise budget of around $5,000 for a race-ready track (not including timing system). Track surface is going to take 1500-2000 as it looks now.

We should be racing Dec. 1. Thanks again.

Good luck with your meeting. Post up how it goes, and tell us what you decide. It's great to see a new club forming and taking a shot at building a program.
