John Fontaine is his name...

Nice mod....Very clean....

I had bought a couple chargers to do the same thing.
Mulitple chargers in the same box.

I have one of the cheaper 3 in 1 Integy chargers to do stick packs and for my AA flight packs. Works great.

I would like to put a 5v USB port in my charger. Then I can run all those little laptop gadgets, like a Fan, a high intensisty Led on a bendable neck ETC, anyone have any idea on accomplishing that ?

I understand there is a 5v feed in there somewhere.

johns gfx looks even better in person. I am not sure if he fixed it, but when he turned on the blue light inside the box, the screen became unreadable.

Thanks guys for the compliments. It came out well.

I'm in the process of doing a few more things to it...ie wiring coming out the front like =MisFitz= NuKe did.

Yes, the screen numbers does turn blue when the 4" neon is on inside, and i'm working on a way to protect the LCD screen from getting flooded with light but haven't found a 100% way of doing this yet. Tried black eletrical tape and metalized ductape but still does it. Need to examine it more. But thanks!

John

john, how did you mount the window to the case, and did you cut all of that yourself?

about the light, if you are running the neon wire around the window, on the inside of the case, take some black thin plastic (I can find some at out local plastic supply houses) and heat and bend it to fit around the neon, on the front side of the case...worth a try.

thanks for posting them, I've added green cold cathode lighting underneath it as well. I just cut some slots in the bottom of the case and mounted the lights inside right above the cutouts. It looks sweet at night races.

Great job guys!

A few questions. How do you connect the fan to the main power source? Does it use the same "computer style" (molex) plug?

Cut and splice, than solder

=MisFitz= NuKe - How I did my window was cut out a piece of lexan approximately 1/2" around the size of the window milled out of the case. Than I milled around the edge as thick as the case and then it pressed in flush. After that was done, I just shoe goo'ed it in place and it hasn't moved since. I can put things on top of the window, ie cars and such .

Looks sweet. Does the plexiglass sheet behind the fan have any cutouts in it? I can't tell in that picture, but it needs to draw air into the charger and out the sides.

Good job.
