Scottymi2b,

For this kind of motor the best Esc is this one:

This "ESC" is much more cheap and reliable than QC2 or Nosram Dom Evo

I ahve a Quantum 2 and it works great! Many people here use LRP and i donīt know a case where one have blown up. (When you run in the wet the comm can get wet and short circuit that will blow the esc up. My motor got wet and short circuited (the heat after when it had cooled of it short circuited) i cleaned it with electronic cleaner and it worked again!

with all speedos precautions must be taken when running in the wet.
the qc and qc2 are very good speedos.
ive never had a speed control by lrp blow up.
you guys must be gearing or doin sumthing to the motor to make them blow up especially the bloke who said 'my comm [or arm] was black'.
that sounds like a motor current draw went up the motor got hot and the speedo couldnt produce enuff current and blew up.impo.

It was me who said I knew somebody who had their Q2 blow up and trash the motor due to the heat, it cant be blamed on over gearing or even the motor because when it blew up the speedo was plugged in but turned off.
I also went to Mirage a while back (UK distributers of Nosram) and they had over 170 dominator evo's (same as the Q2) in the trash from angry customers.

Default worlds cap?

A local gave me a cap to use with my QC2 that came from his world's conversion kit. It is painted and unmarked. It was installed at one point, so the leads were clipped and tinned. How do I tell the polarity of this cap? I put a meter on it to measure the residual voltage, however, it has been sitting for about 6 months, and I don't know if I should trust the measurement to figure out the polarity of it... Any takers?
