Here you can see the copper springs with shocks in. The blue springs were the original replaced ones.

OK, the work has started. You can see the beggining of the process. I didn't use the red o-rings between the ball studs and cups on the rear toe links as Jesse recommended. I also mounted ball studs in the outer hole and to avoid bind I did grind down the inner hole to clear the ball cup as Jesse recommended too.

Thanks. I really only have 1 motor, a 5.5T brushless motor, which is not permitted in competition. Everyone at my local club runs 10.5T, I don't know which class it is.

Fran

Just ordered some more parts for my mi 1 going to do the mod like you guys. And hope this crazy thing works. Going to put it in vta 25.5 class. I don't think it will do very good in 17.5 tc.

I run 25.5 vta here in Florida. I put a fan on the motor in the summer when it's 90+ outside but never needed one on the esc .running 21.5 were you live you may not need a fan on the esc .When it's cool here in Florida i take the fan off the motor I keep my motor temperature at 140 to150 degree. Just judge my the weather if outside track. At 21.5you should never need a fan on the esc if you go mod put a fan on the esc
and the motor.
