Exclamation Need help getting back in Electric rc racing!

I need help and suggestions please!

After many years of not racing, i finally pulled my electric cars and stuff out the closet me and my father are getting back into this hobby......... and after my last couple visits to the track and hobby shops, ive seen rc electric cars have came a long way so im upgrading and buying a rolling tamiya chasis tommorow, i see no one runs brushed motors and nimh batterys........ so i think for beginners im gonna start practicing to race in the rcgt class.

Im goin to a hobby shop tommorow to do some shopping, so i need help on getting the right speed control and bushless motor and a nice lipo battery something at a fair price to get back in the hobby and later ill upgraded it to faster stuff. so im pretty much fresh to the rc electric seen and help would b appriciated thanks everyone!

Speed passion and hobby wing have good speedos that have both boost and timing but you can also disable it for RCGT. Alot of guys like the Tekin but the price gets a bit high and same like the Speed Passion you dont have to change it when new upgrades come out ,all you have to do is down load them from your pc and to your speedo. I use Speed Passion but I also have heard guys tell me that Tekin has good customer service and support.UI would read the Tekin and speed passion threads and go back a few pages ...even in the begining to hear the reactions of those who use them. For lipo get a 5000 25C two cell, they are legal for rcgt and can be used in stock as well.Good luck remember to ask if you feel that something is confusing.Thank god our hobby is full of helpful people.I always turn to rc tech when I need info.
