Default European Touring Car Championships 2004

Hi all,

Could someone please post any info on this event...a sort of update and some inside info on whats going on in and around the pits as well as what cars the top 10 drivers are using. Anything that we could follow.

The Orion site has live updates on this too if anyone is interested.

From what I have heard weather forecast isn´t very good. There was some rain during practice so not very much drivers were driving.
Timetable was changed as it seems the weather will be better today than later so two qualifying heats will be run today.

Results of the first one is

1. Jilles Groskamp - Xray
2. Marc Rheinard - TRF 415
3. Teemu Leino - Mi2
4. Jonas Andersson - Mi2
5. Steen Graversen - TRF 415
6. Jonas Kaerup - TC3
7 Hupo Hönigl - XXXS G+
8 Craig Drescher - TC3
9 Anders Myrberg - Xray?
10 Andy Moore - Pro4

Marc Rheinard just was 0.9 sec slower than Jilles. These two drivers and Jonas Andersson were the fastest drivers during practice.

Most drivers are using Team Orion/Peak V2 motors.

Hi
Andy Moore drives for HPI.
During the winter he switched from X-ray to the Pro 4.

Its Ben Cosgrove that has switched from X-ray to Tamiya. Another English lad.

Thanks

Default Bodyshells

V12, what's the most popular bodyshells used at this race? Are the new Ride shells legal?

So Losi is working on a shaft drive car???

7 belt cars and 3 shaft cars out of 10 seems like a clear statement for beltcars. But as all of you know it´s because of the drivers, not the cars. Most drivers will do the same with belt or shaft.

I hope I will get more results soon. We will see what will change after the second run.

I think very few people will be using Ride bodies in Europe as most drivers are not knowing these. I just had the chance getting one but I yet have to try.

But I think you are not allowed using Ride bodies at races like Euro champs as they aren´t approved.

I´m not at the Euros so my informations are limited currently. But I will do a search on bodies used there.

So do you think that it is a function of the drive train....or the motor?

You can also get updates from Team Orion's website. Oscar does live reports from the track daily I think.
