if you dont mind....the TRF 415 from tamiya may be a better choice if oyure in the US as parts are alot easier to get than owning a tech car. plus the two are about the same in design.....its even like half a Tech car...

just a comment

i believe that you will have to order overseas. there is nobody in the us who imports tech racing gear.

the car will cost as much as a 415, but still has plastic bulkheads, and no diff for the front of it. although, i do not believe a diff has been issued for the tamiya kit either.

something else that the 415 fixes is that they tied the motor mount into the bulkhead that holds the layshaft. the tech car has a dedicated motor mount that mounts only to the lower chassis. it is subject to flex or movement in general relative to the layshaft. spur gears will likely be replaced more often than with the 415.

it is a pretty car though, but not as pretty as the my02-r.

Default Parts and car

Parts are easy to order from tokyo hobby and rainbow 10. The tech car is definately a uncommon car. the fellow that makes the RC12L3 conversion runs a few tech cars, his name is Adam.

The car is pretty fast. I am running the MY02R.

by the way,

i have a tech my02 with some extra parts that i will sell you for cheap. it's seen some action, but it will give you a chance to own one for a fraction of the cost and hassles of buying new overseas.

email or pm me.
