Tekin RS Pro vs Castle Creation 1/10 Mamba Max Pro

So I am look to race prominently 17.5 class and the occasional modified class. Which one of these ecs would better satisfy my needs. Which has the best features and has the most and useful customizable functions. Thanks in advance.

This greatly depends on your application and what you want.

I'm a Castle guy, and proudly use the MMP. But the Tekin RS Pro is bada$$, there is no denying that.

In my opinion, especially if your running a 17.5 motor, the deference will be shown when you run modified. In spec they'll run evenly with the exception that the MMP is physically larger in size. But in modified there will be a difference in how your timing advancements are applied.

As I understand it, the Tekin can be programmed to start out with a set timing advance, then at a delay of time the boost feature will advance once again giving you the turbo affect. This is very useful on tracks that are larger or have a very long straight away.

The MMP on the other hand will not give you the ability to simply advance the timing off the start. It will advance timing gradually through an RPM range that you set. So you set a timing advance of say 30 degrees. Then you tell it at 3800 rpm begin advancing the timing and by 5800 rpm the timing should be completely advanced to 30 degrees. In between 3800 and 5800 rpm the timing will be gradually advanced or decreased based on your throttle input, according to what ever Castle's proprietary algorithm is.

You have to choose for your self which system would better serve your driving style.

For one thing runnong 17.5 you don't need the pro for carpet. 4 wd dirt you do.

Tekin RS can be run to 5.5 turns, pro unlimited. Tekin is an excellent product and the only thing I run.

As stated above by someone else, it can be easily set in the field. Call Tekin on Monday and talk to Ty.
